Who I am

Bespoke Quizzes and Games (also trading as Bridge Events and Media) is run by Tom Bridge, a London based quiz host. I am the data controller for the personal information described here.

What I collect

When you enquire through this website, by email, by phone, through social media messages, or through a Facebook or Instagram lead form: your name, email address, phone number, company name, and details about your event such as the date, number of guests, venue and budget.

When you book: the contact and billing details I need to confirm your booking and send an invoice.

To write your quiz: any information you choose to share about your team or guests, such as names, in jokes, fun facts or photos. Please only share details your guests would be happy to see in a quiz.

At events: I sometimes take photos. I only use photos in my marketing with the client's agreement, and I will remove any photo on request.

Business contacts: if I have contacted you about my services, I found your work contact details from public sources such as your company's website.

Facebook and Instagram lead forms

If you fill in an enquiry form inside a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta passes your answers to me so I can reply. Meta's own handling of your data is covered by Meta's privacy policy.

How I use it, and why I'm allowed to

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, send a quote, plan and deliver your event, and handle invoicing. Under UK data protection law, I rely on:

• Contract: to take steps you've asked for before a booking, and to deliver the event once booked.
• Legal obligation: to keep financial records for tax purposes.
• Legitimate interests: to follow up on enquiries and to occasionally contact business contacts about my services. You can ask me to stop at any time.
• Consent: for using event photos in marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.

I never sell your information.

Who I share it with

I only share what's needed to run the business:

• Freelance quiz hosts working at your event, who receive only the event details they need.
• Google, for email and file storage.
• PayPal, for invoicing and payments.
• Meta, if you contact me through Facebook or Instagram.
• GitHub, which hosts this website.

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, they protect it using safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to 2 years.
• Booking and invoice records: 6 years, as required for tax.
• Personal details shared to write your quiz: deleted within 3 months after your event.

Cookies and this website

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and is hosted on GitHub Pages, and both services receive your IP address when you visit, as is standard for websites. The enquiry form opens your own email app, so nothing you type is stored by the website itself.

Your rights

You can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Email tom@bespokequizzesandgames.com and I'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first, though.
